http://www.vimeo.com/9752986While we’re on the subject of pets, check out the less-than-furry friends roaming the streets of Brooklyn. To promote the opening of the The Invisible Dog art space, located in the warehouse where the invisible dog was invented, Improv Everywhere enlisted 2000 people to walk “invisible dogs” around the area last month. A few weeks ago the DMG (Digital Media Group) here at Switch threw a little shindig for the lucky few having a birthday in July or August, with the theme ”That 70’s Lunch“. You could get a psychedelic picture of yourself, stare at the music visualizer, eat great food or to top it all off compete in the Dance Dance Revolution contest to win an iPod Shuffle! Big shout out to Bowman for the DDR set up!
We chopped up a little vid for all who missed it and the music in the video is the song the contestants had to dance to. But for those who were there, GTV I’m looking in your direction, do you really want to challenge DMG? …. at anything?

Everyone likes a good laugh. Now me on the other hand, I really like a good laugh. When I got my hands on this video I laughed until I couldn’t breathe, but that didn’t stop me from hitting the play button 3,257 more times. Thanks Andrew for being you. This video is priceless.
We all know about the impact that hometown hero Albert Pujols makes with his bat… but he makes an even bigger impact off the field through his charitable organization: Pujols Family Foundation. Albert and his wife Deidre have a daughter with Down syndrome, and their organization is based around giving hope and stability to families affected by Down Syndrome, as well as giving the same type of support to impoverished kids in their native Dominican Republic.
Switch has the wonderful privilege of working with the Pujols Family Foundation on a regular basis- both in St. Louis and in the poorest areas of Dominican Republic. Led by Video Producer Sue Herzberg we recently completed a video to be played on the MLB Network and Fox before the All-Star Game. The video features “Albert’s All-Stars,” a group of Down syndrome kids from the St. Louis area who get to be coached by El Hombre himself. Tony LaRussa and other former and current Cardinals were in attendance. The long version of the video (22 minutes) will be played on Fox Sports Midwest as one of there “Spotlight” programs. The first airing is tonight at 5:00 PM. See below for other times. And if you’d like to give to an amazing organization that benefits children right here in the St. Louis community, check out the website: http://www.pujolsfamilyfoundation.org/

The Switch Digital Media Group recently wrapped up a product shoot for Bud Light’s Digital Outdoor program. The assignment? Update Bud Light’s visual assets to match the current packaging and message. Switch also created a number of media elements to play on several full motion out-of home screens across the country.
We shot in both the Switch Studio and outdoors. Our weapons of choice were a Phantom High Speed camera to capture extra slow motion and a Sony HDW-F900 High Definition Camera to catch the real-time images. We mounted the HDCam on its side to help create content assets for the vertical Anheuser-Busch Times Square LED Board. The camera captured a wide array of table top and turntable product “Hero” shots.
The Phantom High Speed camera shoots tiff image sequences at 990 frames per second.
For the current Bud Light Times Square spot, we used these images to put it all together:
The chroma key green prop bottle was filmed against a blue background so we could capture all the aspects of the motion.

The Bud Light :10 spot you see above is part of the Times Square rotation that’s playing now, but some elements of the shoot are still in production. They’ll be used as the Digital Outdoor campaign continues in Times Square, New York, Nokia Theatre @ LA Live, Los Angeles, Broad & High Columbus OH, LiveNation concert venues across the US, the New Yankee Stadium, New York and Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Want to see more? Here are some of the other spots recently produced by the Switch DMG team:
• Budweiser spot for Yankee Stadium:

• And this Bud and Bud Light Chelada spot that was posted in Times Square in time for Cinco de Mayo. This spot used existing creative that was re-formatted to work in Times Square and was green-lit and turned around in less than 24 hours.

Great work, DMG! Special thanks to Steve Paolicchi – Sr. Producer, Eric Bowman – Motion Graphics/Editor, & Adam Hecker – Motion Graphics/Editor.
A few years ago Spike Jonze and Ty Evans made a little skate flick. It was called Fully Flared, and it was arguably one of the greatest skateboarding films ever made. The opening sequence is legendary. Well, Spike just did something very un-Jonze-like and remixed that opener for UNKLE’s latest video. While the result is a beautiful blending of imagery and sound, we can’t help but be a little disappointed that one of our idols recycled his own creative. Maybe he was still upset that a certain satisfying candy bar ripped him off. It doesn’t really matter though, it’s still worth a watch.
We were going to write an extended rant about the state of advertising today, but it’s Friday, and we know you’ve got a lot on your plate. So, we decided we’d just show you what we mean…
