Primary Responsibilities
• Driver and host for one of Switch’s Mobile Display units.
• Provide display set up for event promotions and educational venues.
• On-site display host and management skills are required when dealing with clients, venue partners and guest.
• On-site coordination of labor and event schedules
Qualifications
• Class A CDL required (this is not negotiable)
• Clean Driving Record
• Able to work in a team environment
• 21 Years of Age or older
• Ability to lift 100 lbs+
• Willingness to travel 250+ days per year
• Ability to project a positive image for Switch and it’s clients
• Mechanical or technical expertise, a plus
• Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related degree or background, preferred
• Experience in multiple technical areas a plus
• Prior mobile marketing experience preferred

Overview:
The Vice President – Creative Development oversees the development of client content in all its forms. The VP-CD is ultimately responsible for the quality and effectiveness of both concepts and execution. Major responsibilities include evaluating and interpreting creative strategies, assigning talent, and directing and approving the work of the creative team. The VP-CD is involved in message development as well as message delivery and placement, based on the idea that creativity is required for both message and delivery.
Areas of understanding and abilities:
- Evaluating and building upon client marketing/communication strategies – including digital/online
- Understanding both the attitudes and behaviors of client’s target customer
- Fluency in major marketing/communications channels and ability to think and execute at the intersection of experiential, offline/online and media/PR
- Knowing the technical possibilities of various marketing/communications channels – especially online and experiential
- Ability to evaluate and develop creative talent for the agency
Key Responsibility: Develop and Maintain High Creative Standards
- Participating in new business development efforts, leading creative teams and developing client response materials – accountable for winning business, bid opportunities, rfp’s, etc.
- Bring Switch’s positioning (fun brands, immersive experiences) to life in Creative Development group
- Working with associates in brand planning/brand strategy to ensure that creative work is on strategy
- Developing ideas and messages to communicate and persuade at various points of contact with the brand
- Participating in and overseeing concept development in various communications channels
- Contributing ideas to how and where messages are delivered (not just what they say
- Presenting and defending the firm’s creative work
- Assuring that the firm’s creative work is relevant, engaging, and effective
- Interfacing with the client as part of the agency team
- Assessing job candidates, and overseeing hiring and firing in the creative development function.
- Mentoring, coaching, providing feedback, performance planning and career path development for CD’s.
- Working directly with client managers, project managers, producers, and other associates on assigned projects.
- Actively seeking and selecting outside creative contractor resources, including visual designers, writers, Flash designers, etc.
- Report to CEO and participate in Senior Management business development and direction
- Represent Switch as a subject matter expert and speaker at various trade events

Principal Duties:
• Provide service to clients in the field by overseeing the planning, delivery,
installment, dismantle and recovery of production equipment
• Coordinate in the proposal stages with company’s creative department,
Account Executives and Project Management Teams with regard to the
requirements of switch events
• Provide technical and resource planning advice to the sales and creative
departments to promote improved workmanship and serviceability to clients
• Provide computer aided drafting. This includes plan, cross section and front
elevations of various events and exhibits
• Properly complete, maintain and enforce the accuracy of company
paperwork which includes, but is not limited to, specification forms, quotes,
contracts, rental agreements, shipping purchase orders, invoices and other
operating forms
• Work with the Show Management and the Equipment Rental departments to
coordinate inventory availability and shipping schedules
• Coordinate on-site vendors to ensure that all company equipment and
related resources are effectively delivered to and recovered from show site
• Maintain accurate time records while on show site to ensure proper contract
labor and client invoicing
• Maintain and return from show site all show-related paperwork, including but
not limited to, labor time records, expense forms and union information
• Assist the efforts of the Sales & Marketing Department in soliciting new
business, maintaining and growing the current account base and the overall
promotion of the products and services of switch
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Technical Directors will report directly to The Manager of Event Technical
Services
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in theater & staging, or technical production preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of corporate, tradeshow, staging or touring experience
• Experience in multiple technical areas
• An in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD as it relates the staging and exhibit
industry is preferred, along with Excel, Word and PowerPoint (helpful)
• Have through understanding of IATSE and Teamster union labor rules and
contracts
• Substantial travel is required for this position; applicants should be willing to
maintain 75 to 100 days per year on the road
• Applicants will need to be willing to relocate to our St. Louis, Missouri
location
